I think the rhino seems like a good antagonist, and it seems like you're intensifying the story. Maybe I missed this, but when does this story take place? It seems a little like the late 19th century. I'd also like to see even more description, for places like Pierre's kitchen and the town shop. But, I do like the food descriptions though. That does sounds like a yummy sandwich

\nOverall, this is a very original and well-done story. It seems like a conflict is starting...I wanna see how it turns out!
